Athens Music Scene
Athens has long been a hub for live music, known for producing bands such as R.E.M., Widespread Panic, and The B-52’s. Today, with live concert venues scattered throughout downtown, there continues to be a thriving music scene. With hundreds of concerts a year, there are regular performances across genres for everyone to enjoy while in Athens. Some of my favorite venues include: Georgia Theatre, Livewire Athens, 40 Watt Club, and The Classic Center.
